1. While performing the following exercise, try to move the pencil in a continuous and steady fashion without lifting it off the page.
2. Level 1 - On the Michigan Tracking handout, underline the letters starting at the top left hand corner until you get to the first “a”.
3. Circle the first "a" and continue to underline all the other letters until you get to the letter “b”.
4. Circle the letter "b" and continue to underline all the letters until you get to the letter “c”.
5. Complete the assignment by underlining and circling the letters from "a" to “z”.
6. Level 2 - On a new Michigan Tracking handout, scan each line of letters from left to right using only your eyes.
7. As you come across each of the letters from “a” through “z”, circle the letter.
8. Each letter should be circled once and in order.
9. Level 3 - On a new Michigan Tracking handout, scan the whole paragraph and circle or cross-out all the "a's" until you complete the paragraph.
10. Repeat the exercise with the next letter in the alphabet.
11. Continue until you repeat the exercise for all the letters in the alphabet.
